Most teams don’t need more effort. They need better language.

I’m Tash Jaye, the founder of Speak the Culture, a communication and culture training company based in Columbia, South Carolina. I’ve spent more than a decade helping schools, companies, and community organizations strengthen how they lead, listen, and show up for each other.

Before launching Speak the Culture, I worked at the intersection of education, product strategy, and people development — leading communication strategy, training design, and engagement campaigns for educators and executives alike. I’ve partnered with district leaders, product teams, and small business owners to turn “how we talk” into a leadership advantage.

My work blends psychology, storytelling, and strategy — grounded in one belief: The words we use either build trust or break it.

When I’m not facilitating workshops or coaching leaders, you’ll probably find me sketching out ideas while listening to music, reworking a story until it hits right, or chasing a toddler while dreaming up my next women’s leadership project.

What I Do

Through Speak the Culture, I help schools and organizations:

  • Build healthier communication patterns that reduce turnover and burnout

  • Develop leaders who use language as a tool for clarity, not control

  • Create cultures where feedback, trust, and accountability actually stick

My sessions aren’t lectures — they’re conversations. Each one starts with awareness, ends with alignment, and leaves you with tools you’ll actually use.
